I've really been missing going to Disneyland regularly so it was nice to visit Downtown Disney a couple weekends ago. The last time I went to Downtown Disney was in early March of this year.
Since we went around 10:30 a.m., we were able to find parking pretty fast. But walking up, we saw there was a long line to go in. After waiting for close to an hour, my husband read on Twitter as we were waiting that if you have a reservation, you can go right in. OMG. I had a reservation so we could have gone in sooner. I wonder how soon we could have gone in though. Oh well, I'll know what to do next time :)
Before we entered, they took our temperature and checked my bag. I was amazed as we walked in. There weren't a lot of people for it being 11:30 a.m. You would think there was going to be looking at the outside line, but they really limited capacity, which was really good. Well, I guess they have to right?
Anyway, we rushed to make our 11:45 a.m. reservation at Naples. They had indoor seating, but we opted for the patio as I am not ready to eat inside yet. All the tables were spaced out and restaurant staff were wearing masks. Everything seemed safe to me and the food was good. I liked how we had to scan the menu onto our phones. I think they should do that even after the pandemic.
Next stop was to check out the stores. Once arriving at World of Disney (the big Disney store) we were greeted by a cast member outside who asked for our phone number, who would then text us once it was okay to enter the store. We had a 2 hour window to come back once they texted us. I thought that was another good idea that they should implement after the pandemic is over. World of Disney is always too busy. While waiting to enter, we checked out the other stores which also asked for our phone number to text us when it was okay to go in. It really wasn't a big deal because while waiting we went to Ballast Point for beer and Tortilla Jo's for margaritas. both places had no wait at all.

All in all, going to Downtown Disney was pretty safe. Everybody wore masks. There was lots of social distancing. They limited people in the stores and restaurants. A lot of the restaurants have outdoor seating. So I would definitely come back again.
Have you been going out and about? How was it?
