I've had the Oura Ring for about a month now and I love it so much!!!
If you haven't heard of the Oura Ring, it's a ring that tracks sleep, readiness level, and activity level.

For sleep, it tracks:
- How much you slept (amount of time spend in light, REM, and deep sleep)
- Efficiency (the percentage of time spent asleep compared to time spent awake while in bed)
- Restfulness (movement in sleep)
- REM Sleep (dreaming, memory consolidation, and creativity)
- Deep Sleep (restorative sleep)
- Latency (the amount of time it takes you to fall asleep at night)
- Timing (when you slept)

Every morning after I wake up, I check the Oura app for a full report of how I slept and it breaks down all the categories listed above. It not only tracks how I slept, but the ring also sends me notifications to start prepping for bedtime a couple of hours before my regular bedtime hour.
The second category it tracks is Readiness level (calculated by using your lowest overnight resting heart rate, body temperature, any physical activity from the previous day, and a few "balance oriented metrics including HRV, sleep, and activity balance).

The third category it tracks is Activity level. It tracks how long you've in inactive during the day, training frequency, training volume, recovery time, and how often you meet your daily goals. It even sends notifications if you have been sitting down too long.

I just love this ring a lot and all it does. The battery life lasts about a week or so. It can get wet so you can wear it in the shower and the pool. It's easy to wear all day and all night. I love the little reminders to start getting ready for bed and the little tips it gives throughout the day to stretch my legs or get a little activity in.
So, if you are looking to optimize your sleep, I highly suggest getting this ring. After all, if it can't be measured, it can't be managed.
